2018 Ladies Alpine Winners

Congratulations to Karen Madison of LGC with the Low Gross of the Field with a score of 76.  Congratulations also to Karen Holst of Chelan with the Low Net of the Field with a score of 65.  I guess the name Karen was a good name to have in this years tournament.  It was a very successful day with lots of smiles around the course.  Many raffle prizes were won and everybody received a nice LGC blanket as a tee prize and lots of club money was won in each flight.  Our first Thanks goes out to all the sponsors and everyone that gave donations.   Thanks to all the men that volunteered helping with unloading bags, scoring score cards and working KP and LD holes.  Thanks to the women that made food for the snack table and special thanks to the ladies that worked the snack table making sure all the women did not starve.  A big thanks goes out to The Wild Huckleberry and their staff for the professional service and great food.  And anybody else that donated their time and energy is very much appreciated.  This tournament does not survive without the team effort of all the ladies, volunteers and the restaurant and golf course staff so the tournaments success is the teams success.  Last Thank You goes out to all the ladies that participated in this years tournament and LGC hopes to see all of you return next year to the 48th Ladies Alpine Invitational.  Check our Facebook page for more pics.

Leavenworth Golf Club would like to wish all the Mothers out there the most wonderful Mothers Day of all today.  Here is something I found that I think a lot of us can relate to that was written by Jessica Booth:

It’s Mother’s Day, the time when we all reflect on our relationships with our mothers and think about the things we wish we had told our moms by now. Most of us didn’t grow up with our mom as our best friend, like, say, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Few mother-daughter teams out there have that kind of perfect relationship (mainly because it’s a TV show and it’s not real, but I digress). A lot of of us grew up in an intense love-hate relationship with our moms, much like the very relatable relationship between Tami and Julie Taylor. We fought with her constantly, we struggled to have power over her, and we ignored the wonderful things she did for us even though it made us feel like crap.

As sad as it is to think about, there will be a day when your mom isn’t around to hear the things you want to tell her. Don’t wait that long to let her know how much you love and appreciate her!
